THE birthplace of one of the country’s top jewellers — Habib Jewellery in a modest Jawi Peranakan double-storey outlet on Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling in Penang — is undergoing a RM1mil restoration.
Habib managing director Datuk Meer Sadik Habib (pic) said the restoration work, which began about a year ago, would be completed next month.
