Bamboo baskets still in use

WHILE plastic-made products have taken over the role as storage baskets, Malim Nawar’s “Mr Lau” is by no means giving up making traditional bamboo baskets.

“We produce an average of one hundred baskets a day,” he said, adding that the bamboo baskets would be delivered to all over Perak but mostly to Ipoh.
