Rep faces RM9,000 fine for putting up billboards


BUTTERWORTH: Bukit Tengah assemblyman Ong Chin Wen (pic) could be slapped with a RM9,000 compound for allegedly putting up billboards in his constituency without permits.

Seberang Prai Municipal (MPSP) councillor Soon Lip Chee said that under the council’s Advertisement By-laws 2001, those who put up billboards illegally would be fined a maximum RM500 each while a maximum compound of RM250 would be imposed for each illegal poster.
