PKR wants Kedah govt to lower UUM’s quit rent

ALOR SETAR: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) should be given a lower quit rent because of its role as a centre of academic excellence in the state.

State PKR deputy chairman Senator Zamri Yusuf said the RM1.78mil in quit rent was too high and the state government should calculate the quit rent based on the campus’ area size used for commercial and academic purposes.
