Not paying quit rent due to age and transport woes


JOHOR BARU: Some of the residents living in low cost flats in Bandar Selesa are refusing to pay their quit rent with the excuse that they are too old and without transportation to go to the land office.

Resident representative Fong Mun Yoke,53, who is one of the few who pays her quit rent, said her neighbours refused to settle their quit rent despite her advising them constantly.
