Chan: Collective leadership until general polls to avert a split in SUPP

MIRI: Outgoing Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) president Tan Sri Dr George Chan will table a motion at the party’s next central working committee meeting to leave the president’s post vacant until after the general election.

Dr Chan, who will step down during the party’s general assembly before the end of the year, wants a collective leadership to take over the party until the polls, which may happen within next year.
