Still no word on food that school canteens can sell


KUCHING: The Sarawak Education Department is awaiting a directive from the Education Ministry on whether to launch a statewide study on food sold at school canteens to address obesity and unhealthy eating habits among students.

Its director Abdillah Adam believed that a thorough study should be conducted before a decision was made on what food could be sold in school canteens.
