Officers do community service to mark navy’s 77th anniversary

INSTEAD of having a lavish anniversary dinner or luncheon, the Royal Malaysian Navy celebrated its 77th anniversary by doing community service at the orang asli settlement near Westport.

The gotong-royong, which was also a combined effort by the district’s Barisan Nasional leader Datuk Teh Kim Poo, Port Klang Authority (PKA) and Westport as well as several other government-linked companies saw about 45 houses in the village given a new coat of paint.
