GEORGE TOWN: Unfavourable weather and the busy Qing Ming festival had not stopped the public from turning up in full force for the ‘Penang for Japan Disaster Relief Charity Drive’.

Charity drive organising chairman Emi Yamazaki (pic) said a total of RM608,482.70 was collected during the event at the Straits Quay shopping mall which drew some 8,000 visitors on March 27.
