IN THE spirit of 1Malaysia, more than 8,000 people of different races and from all works of life attended the Chinese New Year open house held at the Sibu Civic Centre on the first day of the Year of the Rabbit.
This year’s open house was jointly hosted by Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, Lanang MP and Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King, Pelawan assemblyman Vincent Goh Chung Siong, SMC deputy chairman Daniel Ngieng, councillor Chieng Buong Toon and Sibu Division Chinese paramount leader Temenggong Vincent Lau Lee Ming.
