THE spirit of ngabang (visiting) friends during the Lunar New Year beginning on Thursday runs high among the longhouse folk in Belaga.
Despite being in the remote hinterland of the district, the longhouse dwellers from various ethnic groups like the Kenyah, Kayan, Punan, Iban would don their best traditional outfits and travel the distance by boat just to share the festive joy with their few Chinese friends.
