MALAYSIA won 72 medals in the 16th Asian Masters Athletics championships held at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil recently.
Malaysia, represented by 236 athletes, won 20 gold, 25 silver and 47 bronze medals. Former international M. Ramakrishnan, Adenah Lojuhun and Juliana Gumpil were the most impressive Malaysians in the four-day championships, organised by the Malaysian Masters Athletics Association (MMAA) and sanctioned by the Asia Masters Athletics Association (AMAA).
