PENANG’s Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) would be given a boost once the RM19.3mil reservoir in Pulau Jerejak is completed, as this would ensure an effective level of water supply to the FIZ.
As concerns mount among investors in the FIZ following the recent major water cut in the state due to upgrading of a water treatment plant in Sungai Dua on the mainland, the new reservoir on the former prison colony is now expected to allay their concerns about sustainable supply to the manufacturing areas of Penang.
