TWO singers from the peninsula are hoping to revive their career through a tour of Sarawak.

Alana Sim, despite being only 20, is already considered a veteran in the domestic entertainment scene.

She started at the age of seven, under a different name then, and gained fame after releasing a solo album at the age of nine.

Alana followed up with three more solo albums with a few compilations in between.

Then she dabbled in acting, appearing in several serial dramas including one which was co-produced by a local company and one from Singapore.

She was also a voice talent for television advertisements such as Baskin Robbins, Goodnite Mattress, Sushi King and Vanish. Alana has more than 20 to her credit.

Now she is back to her roots, joining six other singers to record a Chinese New Year compilation under Hua Hua Entertainment.

She also hoped to record solo albums with the company.

Also on tour is Johor Baru-born Lionel Fei Qi, who prior to this has three albums under his belt.

His singing career spanning more than 10 years has seen him crooning songs from the Internet and various others by local composers.

The tour started on Jan 14 in Kuching and will end tomorrow in Sibu.

The other singers are Chai Shen Yea, Sammil Yip, Vivian Qiu, Liana Tan and Jenny Woen.
