SANDAKAN: Twenty-five People’s Housing Projects (PPR) were implemented involving the construction of 20,000 housing units in Sabah in a move to eradicate squatter homes and help the low-income group to own houses.
Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Lajim Ukin said construction of the homes began during the Eighth Malaysia Plan (8MP) and 9MP, with 18,700 units already completed and the remaining in the process of completion.
