THE Education Ministry made the headlines for the wrong reasons when they slashed the annual allocation to the Malaysian School Sports Council (MSSM) which led to the reduction in the number of sports in the calendar.
The ministry provides RM6mil annually to the MSSM for the organisation of 24 sports catering for three age groups — Under-12, Under-15 and Under-18.
