Star reward

Cut out The Star’s masthead from Dec 18 until Dec 22 and be rewarded with exciting prizes including goodie bags, entrance passes, movie tickets and lots more. Collect the mastheads for five consecutive days and present them to any of the newspaper’s three offices in Penang from 9.30am today. Photograph session

In conjunction with Christmas, Eastin Hotel Penang will hold a Barbie & Ken photography session tomorrow at 8pm. Both Barbie and Ken will enter the hotel lobby in a decorated trishaw for the public to take photographs. For details, call 04-6121111/1123.

Christmas drama

The Penang First Assembly of God will present a Christmas drama entitled ‘Day of Destiny’ at 7.30pm tomorrow and Saturday at Dewan Sri Pinang. Admission is free. For details, call 04-6584404.

Water disruption

Water disruption will occur on Dec 28 from 7am to 7pm in the whole of Penang. Teluk Kumbar and Gertak Sanggul will be disrupted for 24 hours. Teluk Bahang, Balik Pulau, Batu Ferringhi, Tanjung Bungah and Tanjung Tokong are not affected. The public is advised to store sufficient water for their usage. For details, call PBAPP at 04-5096509.

Fundraising concert

Mount Miriam Hospital will hold a fundraising concert called ‘Farewell to 2010 Concert’ at Dewan Sri Pi- nang on Dec 29 at 7.30pm in aid of the hospital’s Needy Cancer Patient’s Fund. The concert will feature Penang choirs singing hits and repertoires and also an excerpt of Gluck’s opera ‘Orpheus and Eurydice’. Bajan prayers

Toastmasters workshops

The Bagan Ajam Toastmasters Club conducts workshops every second and fourth Fridays from 8.15pm to 10pm at 7068 (Second Floor), Jalan Ong Yi How, Butterworth, Penang (opposite Toto Sport Jalan Ong Yi How). The theme of the speeches change in every workshop to provide variety and admission is free.
