THE Rose Virginie Good Shepherd Centre (RVGSC) offers a safe haven for women and girls in crisis situations by providing them with shelter and protection, counselling and support, basic skills development, and job opportunities through its micro enterprise project to help them earn income.
When the centre in Ipoh began its micro-enterprise project of baking and selling homemade pastries six years ago, it was definitely a difficult time for the residents of the centre as they struggled to cope with their limited resources and volunteers to meet the demands of the market.
