Old swing bridge to go

THE Electrified Double Track Project (Ipoh-Padang Besar), which is now 60% completed, will feature the construction of a unique RM100mil movable swing bridge over the Prai River in Butterworth.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha said the new bridge, measuring 90m-long and 12m-wide, would replace the existing 46-year-old single-track swing bridge, which is about 7m-wide.
