BIO Osmo to commence production of energy drink in Malaysia

BIO Osmo Bhd, a Malaysian public limited company, officially announced the commencement of production for world-renowned energy drink Arctic Ice in Malaysia recently.

An official commencement ceremony was held to signify the start of this venture. This formalisation event was commemorated by Bio Osmo executive chairman Datuk Idris Hashim and William Becker, CEO of Arctico Beverage Company International Inc (ABCI), the owner of the Arctic Ice brand.

In a symbolic gesture to initiate production, Becker handed over two large-sized versions of the drink to Idris while Bio Osmo group managing director Datuk Seri Krishna Kumar looked on.

Bio Osmo’s appointment as the manufacturer and distributor of Arctic Ice drinks for Malaysia and the Asian region is another milestone for the Malaysian company and symbolises the world’s, and in particular, American confidence in Malaysian capabilities.

This partnership will also greatly benefit Bio Osmo, transforming it into a regional high venture beverage player.

Production will be carried out through Bio Osmo’s wholly-owned subsidiary Amshore Holdings Sdn Bhd which is currently involved in processing, manufacturing, and selling reverse osmosis drinking water.

Bio Osmo plans to leverage on the success of its current reverse osmosis (RO) water brand in Asia and expand the Arctic Ice brand into the Asian market.

The company believes that its current distribution system will provide unrivaled network in Asia and is confident that its bottlers will distribute the Arctic Ice brand as part of the Bio Osmo portfolio.

Bio Osmo has set January 2011 as its target for distribution in Malaysia, followed by China and other markets in Asia in the near future.
