RM500 fine for Aedes at eatery


THE owner of a restaurant which operates at a famous eating outlet on Jalan Burmah in George Town was slapped with the maximum RM500 fine after dengue-carrying Aedes mosquito larvae were found in the premises.

Penang municipal councillor Ong Ah Teong (pic) said the restaurant was one of the five premises that were slapped with the maximum fine this month.
