THE decision to build serviced apartments on wakaf land along the intersection of Lebuh Carnarvon and Lebuh Buckingham in George Town was reached after a series of meeting by the Penang Islamic Religious Department (MAIPP).
MAIPP president Elias Zakaria said it was a collective decision to develop the project in the interest of Muslims as well as to inject life into the area.
