Dec hearing for dispute over ‘enhanced value’ of land

GEORGE TOWN: The High Court has fixed Dec 1 to hear a judicial review application by a developer against the Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) and the state Town and Country Planning department director’s decision to impose “enhanced value contributions” on a piece of land.

Justice John Louis O’Hara fixed the date after applicant Tropical Hill Property Sdn Bhd’s counsel Ong Yu Shin said he needed time to reply to the affidavits by the council and the director, named as respondents.
