More than 400 staff from Kraft Foods Malaysia volunteered at various charity organisations across the country recently. In Kuala Lumpur, 150 volunteers built a “Garden of Hope” for the Pure Life Society, a Home founded in 1949, which looks after the welfare of orphans, underprivileged children and destitute mothers.
Good teamwork quickly transformed the plot of land, initially covered with rubble, into a garden planted over with 400 fragrant herbs such as mint, lemon grass, screwpine, pegaga, curry leaves and chillies.
