Larrie donating part of revenue to Malaysian Nature Society

As we speak, our nation’s natural heritages is being logged and depleted. The quality of air is deteriorating and wildlife is under threat.

To amplify Mother Nature’s call for help, more corporations are stepping up to save our planet. Larrie Corporation, a leading shoe retailer and home-grown brand, is choosing to take on an active role in preserving the environment this season by launching its new Shades of Nature campaign.

The Shades of Nature campaign, which comprises a series of activities to be held from May to December this year, is designed to increase the awareness and encourage Larrie’s customers to go green.

In conjunction with the campaign, Larrie will showcase its new shoe collection which is inspired by the bold vibrant colours of nature.

Themed “Shades of Nature”, the new collection is designed to be ideal shoes for both work and play in our tropical climate.

As blue is the key colour of this theme, many different shades of blue are making dominant appearances in this collection.

However, other shades of nature like brown, beige, red, black, and white are still evidently seen in most designs.

According to the founder and chairman of Larrie Corporation, Stanley Chong, the changes in the global climate is affecting the human society as a whole.

“Business communities across all industries need to work together to preserve the environment through their business activities.

“As such, we are proud to announce that Larrie Corporation will be donating part of our sales revenue generated from this campaign to Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) to support their efforts and active role in the conservation of our natural heritage for over half a century”, he said.

Larrie will donate part of the revenue from the sales of its limited edition eco mug at the roadshow.

In addition, Larrie will place donation boxes at its more than 100 counters nationwide to encourage consumers to support MNS effort. The proceeds from these activities will go to the organisation’s key effort this year, which is the Save Temengor Campaign 2010.

The Larrie Shades of Nature road show will be featuring special discount on products.

Customers will also be able to purchase the Eco mug worth RM29.90 at RM9.90 via the Purchase with Purchase (PWP) programme and receive a free non–woven shopping bag with every purchase made.
