Ageela gets a new collar

KOTA KINABALU: Ageela, a female Borneo pygmy elephant, was the latest to be fitted with a satellite collar in an ongoing effort to study the social behavior of these pachyderms.

The 20-year-old elephant was fitted with the collar in the Lower Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary recently as part of a joint project between the Sabah Wildlife Department, French-based NGO HUTAN and the Danau Girang Field Centre (DGFC).
