Rope in more juniors, Chan tells Chinese associations

CHINESE associations should keep abreast with the times so that the younger generation will not shun them, said Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan.

“Nowadays, the younger generation is slowly distancing themselves from the activities of Chinese associations, mostly because they cannot accept the old ways. Therefore, the elders should be more open to the views and ideas of the young ones,” he said when opening a Moon Cake Festival celebration at Che Seng Khor Moral Uplifting Society in Miri.
