Malaysia has come a long way in terms of tourism and is the ninth most travelled destination in the world with 23.65 million tourists a year, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, said Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen.
“This is in line with the 10th Malaysia Plan’s aim of expanding the tourism industry over the next five years,” she told reporters at the media launch of Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) 2010 recently.
