PARENTS sending children to Rejang Park Kindergarten in Sibu are advised to adhere to the one-way traffic system implemented on May 3.
Pelawan assemblyman Vincent Goh, when inspecting traffic flow on Lane 6 in Rejang Park in front of the kindergarten yesterday, said the cooperation of parents was vital to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
Goh said the road had to be turned into a one-way street because of congestion caused by parents sending and picking up their children from the school daily.
The one-way system, he said, was effective daily from 7.30am to 8.30am and 11.30am to 12.30pm except on weekends and public holidays.
The kindergarten has 405 pupils.
“To ensure everybody follows the system, we are stationing two Rela members there every day to control the traffic,” he said.
