Nationalism in Malaysian art

Another sterling example of ‘1Malaysia’ spirit is the varied and storied collection of paintings and artworks by living Malaysian artists assembled by husband and wife team Aliya and Farouk Khan.

This labour of love has resulted in nearly 1,000 paintings which started in 1995 when Singapore-born businessman Farouk Khan and his Pakistani wife Aliya decided to settle in Kuala Lumpur.
