IF ONE the objectives of the Balangay voyagers from the Philippines is to create solidarity across the waters of South-East Asia, they certainly achieved this during Hari Raya Aidilfitri when they joined a local family in Kuching for the celebrations.
This writer met the expedition team at the residence of UiTM Samarahan lecturer Wajidi Kerni near Kubah Ria on the first day of Aidilfitri and spoke to assistant expedition leader Dr Ted Esguerra.
