BUKIT MERTAJAM: From Jan 1 next year, the state government will disburse within 48 hours, its contribution of RM1,000 per fa-mily to the beneficiaries of senior citizens who pass away.
State Health, Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Com-mittee chairman Phee Boon Poh said the move was vital to assist the families concerned with the necessary funeral expenses.
