GEORGE TOWN: In a bid to evade arrest, smugglers are now sneaking in firecrackers and fireworks by sea from southern Thailand to Malaysia.
However, an attempt to bring in the contraband using this mode was uncovered by the Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) when they stopped a boat in mid sea.
