THE Competition Act 2010 which will come into force on January 1 next year is intended to prevent large companies from engaging in monopolistic and cartel activities.
Interim Competition Commission head Shila Derai Raj said the Act aimed to boost economic development and maximise consumer welfare by promoting and protecting the process of competition in the Malaysian market.
