THE International Women’s Conference 2010 Gala dinner has benefited Breakthrough Ministry and the Living Water Ministry, both Christian charitable organisations.

The gala dinner on Saturday raised funds through ticket sale, donations from guests and also the auction of a painting “A bond of love” by Michael Lim.

Jeffrey Choo, the chairman of Timber Land Group, bought the painting for RM11,000 which will be channelled to the Living Water Ministry.

The dinner also had a fashion show displaying clothes designed by internationally renowned, Edric Ong.

The Breakthrough Ministry, through its members comprising entrepreneurs and professionals, helps the weak find a breakthrough in their business, career and lives; whereas the Living Water Ministry’s mission is to serve the local church by assisting in globally educating people in the principles of biblical evangelism.

The gala dinner was held in conjunction with the two-day conference which was attended by some 800 women from as far as Hong Kong, China, Brunei and Singapore.

Themed “The Beautiful Women”, the region’s premier forum empowers women to be godly women according to the bible and serve as a platform to build, encourage and support one another.

It featured high-profile speakers from the USA, Australia and Singapore deliberating on topics namely “Inner Healing”, “Encountering God Through Prayer”, and the secrets on becoming a truly beautiful woman.
