KUALA TERENGGANU: Dungun’s former district police headquarters may be refurbished as a training centre.
Terengganu police chief Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan said the old building located in the centre on Dungun town would be renovated.
“This old building is no longer being used since the operations of the Dungun district police headquarters had been moved to the new location two years ago.
“The older building is more suitable as a training centre for our district police personnel.
“We hope the proposal can be implemented this year,” he told reporters after a debate at the Terengganu Police Contingent Headquarters, here recently.
Mohd Shukri said the proposal had been submitted to the Federal Police Headquarters at Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur and the centre could train 80 personnel at any one time. — Bernama
