PENANG Municipal Council personnel with the help of the police inspected the premises of 12 metal scrapyard dealers for the first time to check for stolen metal drain and manhole covers.
But instead of finding metal covers, they found some 50 helmets belonging to the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) which were kept in a storeroom in a scrapyard at Victoria Street.
