CATS FM, in collaboration with Perodua, will embark on a road tour throughout Sarawak starting today to reach out to its listeners.

Dubbed Cats Perodua Rangers, the mobile team will travel in two Perodua Alza vehicles sponsored by the car company.

“This is a strategic partnership of on-the-ground marketing between Cats FM and Perodua. We will visit major towns in Sarawak to promote the station and our clients’ products while highlighting community issues,” Cats FM general manager Mohd Iskandar Nawawi said at the handing over of the vehicles at The Spring shopping mall in Kuching.

He added that the public could expect the Rangers to distribute free merchandise and channel information and entertainment in Sarikei, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri,

The team will also travel to Labuan, southern Sabah, Brunei and Indonesia over the next two years.

Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd marketing senior general manager Katsumi Yoshida said the collaboration would boost Perodua’s presence in Sarawak and Sabah.

“It is an opportunity for Perodua to introduce the Alza to the people of Sarawak on a more personal basis. They will be able to see and touch the vehicle instead of just seeing it in newspapers or television,” he said.

He later handed over an Alza mock key to Iskandar, witnessed by Cats FM executive director Datin Hanifah Taib-Alsree.
