EVEN THOUGH the celebrations was scaled-down, the recent week-long Malacca Festa San Pedro (Feast of St. Peter) at the Portuguese Settlement still had its moments.
The traditional village in Ujong Pasir was a hive of activities beginning on June 23 that marked the Feast of St. John the Baptist and lasted through to June 29 for the climax of the Feast of St. Peter, the patron saint of the sea and fishermen.
