A TOTAL of 245 hardcore poor and urban poor individuals in Penang have been offered the Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 Bandar (ASW2020-Bandar) shares with a principal investment of RM10,000 each.
The recipients, from all races and backgrounds, were among the first batch of 4,976 hardcore poor and urban poor in the country to receive the shares under the scheme that was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on June 24.
