KUANTAN: Padi farmers and their associations are urged to organise activities that educate the younger generation on padi planting and related practices.
State Tourism, Arts and Heritage Committee chairman Datuk Shafik Fauzan Sharif said the associations should organise events to introduce padi planting and ‘mengemping’ which was padi processed into cereal form using traditional methods and caramalised with sugar.
