Rise in Hepatitis B and C in the region

THE Hepatitis B and C virus is becoming more and more common in this region.

Dr Chia Kok Hoong, a senior consultant surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre in Singapore, said that Hepatitis B especially was endemic in this part of the world and this pushed up the chances of being infected.
