IT was difficult to get comments from the professional bodies on cost of living in the city; both Universiti Malaya and Malaysia Institute of Economic Research (MIER) had said that there was no study done on the subject.
Nevertheless, having analysed the situation, MIER executive director Dr Zakariah Abdul Rashid said the country had actually recorded 0.9% annual increase in real household income in the last few years.
