SOUTH Korea’s K.J. Choi, a seven-time PGA champion, shared his experience with juniors at the Emirates junior golf clinic at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC) recently.
The clinic was initiated by Emirates in conjunction with the Maybank Malaysian Open golf championship at the KLGCC.
About 20 juniors from the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) attended the two-hour clinic. Emirates Malaysia country manager Kavin Martinus said the clinic was a fantastic opportunity for young golf enthusiasts to learn about the sport.
“What better way to be introduced to this world-class sport than by learning from a pro like Choi ,” said Martinus.
During the clinic, Choi explained the basics of golf including fundamentals such as alignment, posture and balance.
He also demonstrated the finer points on how to grip a club properly for power and accuracy to help them make the most out of their one shot.
