Vandalised fence allowed cow to stray

INITIAL investigations into the highway crash where a man died after his car rammed into a cow on Monday showed that a nearby roadside fence had been cut by unknown persons, allowing the animal to stray onto the highway.

PLUS Expressways Bhd chief operating officer Nik Airina Nik Jaffar said the concessionaire had taken every precaution to seal off certain parts of the North-South Expressway (NSE) by building fences to prevent livestock from wandering onto the highway.
