BEFORE the Pudu Market traders could set up a consortium to deal with the foreign labour isue in the market, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) enforcement officers raided the place two days in a row, causing disruption to the businesses of some 1,500 traders in the area.

“The officers descended like a storm and there was havoc as the illegal foreign workers started running helter-skelter. This is not the way to conduct an operation,” Pasar Pudu Bumiputera Traders Association (Pebumi) chairman Abdullah Mohamad said.
