SEVERAL organisations around the Malaysia received some welcome help recently when more than 500 Deloitte Malaysia employees took a day off to contribute their time and professional skills to help develop local communities, as part of Deloitte’s global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative – Impact Day.
In Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, seven organisations received contributions in cash and in kind. The Deloitte staff members painted a mural and gave a fresh coat of paint to the classrooms at Sekolah Rendah Satya Sai, a school attended by some 200 children of all races and religions from hardcore poor families, as well as orphans from the Pure Life Society orphanage.
