IT company looking at improving healthcare services in remote areas


KUCHING: Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd (Sains), the IT arm of the state government, will look into developing telemedicine applications that can be used to improve healthcare services in remote areas.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud said telemedicine could help expand healthcare services to the state’s scattered rural population by linking rural clinics with hospitals in urban areas.
