THE Penang Welfare Department is looking into the case of single mother A. Parameswary and her mentally handicap son who claim their welfare application has been pending since 2003.
State Health, Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh said a six-year lapse of no response was a serious matter which he would take up personally.
