SOME 120 squatter families at Kampung DBI in Buntong near Ipoh are hoping that the Perak Government will alienate a 6ha plot within the 14ha village to them.
Parti Sosialis Malaysia deputy secretary-general Rani Rasiah said the state could, as an alternative, provide housing for the families in the village if it was to be developed.
